BB4E Vancouver: Let's Do It Again

Vancouver, B.C. welcomed me with a gorgeous sunny 23 degrees celsius and I immediately knew I made the right decision packing so many long sleeved shirts 😂.

My trip was long overdue. One of my best friends moved to Vancouver a decade ago so I was eager to see what he now called home. Plus, I've never been to the west coast and Canada's coasts are the best coast, obviously. I had a free day to take it in before registration and tacked on another at the end, both of which I spent walking the area with my BFF.

But the main event? That was the Book Con with friends that I had only met via IG. The anxiety was high as I made my way over to the other tower and dissipated the second I saw Steph (@teacupsandtropes on IG) and squeezed her so tight! The days flew by in a flurry of laughs, sun, and sushi [because hello, I will never pass up fresh sushi].

I never anticipated that readers of my own would find me and my heart swelled every time they did. I also had no idea trades were a thing but I'm glad they were because, come on, look at this peen:

But of course, we also came for the books, and oh boy did I fill my cart...and my suitcase...and my carryon 😬. I even had to carry a book in my hands on the return flight home. Zero regrets  except maybe not booking a car from the airport, but lessons learned. This was what I had to pack day one and honestly... day two wasn't much better.

Overall, a very successful first book event and a lot of tips for when I attend one as an author. . . .
